Progress: Lesson 4 / 10
Communication in the Sect
We use many tools to stay connected: LINE, Zello, Zoom, WeChat, the forum, and more. You must not fear technology, and you cannot complain about phones or computers. If we cannot communicate, we cannot guide you. Being connected is part of being in this path.
Every day when you wake up, you go on LINE to ching-on 請安.
Ching-on means you are greeting your seniors and also connecting your heart to everyone in the lineage. You start your day with the lineage, and when you are about to sleep, you also ching-on.
When you ching-on, you should reply to the HQ altar photo and say WLTJ, which means Whuo Liang Tian Juan 無量天尊 — countless heavenly lords. This is your greeting to the gods through the HQ altar.
LINE and Zello are our main channels. People talk there 24/7. There is no need to match time zones. If someone is offline, just leave a message — someone will always answer soon.
Inside the lineage, we use English or Cantonese, never Mandarin or other languages. The reason is simple: the three Si Juens were born in Hong Kong, grew up speaking Hong Kong–style Cantonese, and they also speak fluent English. These two languages are our base.
We put a lot of importance on UPDATING.
UPDATE means to inform the lineage while something is happening, not after everything is already done.
Updating early gives room for guidance, help, and correction.
Notifying afterward is too late — no one can help you fix anything if it’s already finished.
You will learn how to update properly as you continue your journey.
Also, never say, “I’m a newbie,” “I’m still new,” or “I’m not used to this yet.” Everyone knows you are new — there is no need to announce it. We already know how to guide someone who just joined.
Just keep going, stay active, stay connected, and listen to your seniors and your master.
