Progress: Lesson 3 / 10

Knowing the People

Most people first meet Jee Sifu 紫師傅 through YouTube and our online content. The title Sifu 師傅 is what outsiders use. It simply means someone is skilled or professional in a certain field — like a computer sifu, a repair sifu, or a driving sifu. It carries respect, but no relationship.

Inside the lineage, this word changes.
The real “master-father” title is Sifu 師父, and you do not call Jee Sifu this yet. This title is only for indoor disciples who have been formally accepted.

For now, you address him as Si Juen 師尊, which means he is one of the highest masters of the lineage.

As you learned in the earlier lesson, the sect has three Si Juens 師尊 — the highest-level leaders who carry the transmissions and oversee the whole lineage.

You are a disciple, which is called Dai Jee 弟子, and you also receive a Taoist name that starts with Tin 天 (Tin-X). Everyone you interact with in the sect is considered your senior unless they joined after you.

Seniors are addressed like this:

  • Si Hing 師兄 (SH) – senior brother

  • Si Jeh 師姐 (SJ) – senior sister

Use their name without “Tin” in front of the title.
For example:

  • Tin Ha (female) → Ha Si Jeh 霞師姐

You yourself are the junior:

  • Si Dai 師弟 (SD) – younger brother

  • Si Mooi 師妹 (SM) – younger sister

In the future, if you become an indoor disciple, then you will call him Sifu 師父 instead of Si Juen. Sometimes you may hear chosen disciples already using this title.

We are not a loose group of students.
We are a family, connected by the same sect and the same religion.

Our relationship is built on:

  • Faith

  • Trust

  • Connection

  • Feeling

Not money, not transactions, not “buying a course.”
You are here to grow with us, be protected by the lineage, and enjoy your life with this family — not to attend a classroom or academic program.

This is a living relationship, and you are now a part of it.
