Your Yuen Sun 元神 (spiritual planetary body) is located where our sun is, but in another dimension behind it. According to the year, your Yuen Sun might orbit into a bad position. When that happens, the “signal” it sends you becomes weak or distorted.
Think of it like your phone losing signal because you are in a blind spot. The problem is not your phone — it is the positioning.
The Tai Sui “Lord” (太歲) is the major luck’s Yuen Sun for that year. Imagine a clock floating vertically above your head:
If the Tai Sui lord is at 6 o’clock, and your personal Yuen Sun is at 12 o’clock, then you are Fan Tai Sui (犯太歲). The major luck blocks your signal like an eclipse.
Besides this direct opposing situation, there are other Fan Tai Sui types that also cause problems in different ways.

When your own Yuen Sun is blocked, it is like your home not getting electricity. What do you do? You use a generator — a secondary power source.
