Progress: Lesson 2 / 10

Ordaining and Discipleship

By initiation, you become a disciple of Tin Yat Lineage. This connects you to the sect as a human organization, but you are not yet inside the religion. We call this the Tin Yat Stage.

At the Tin Yat Stage, you can:

  • Join our LINE groups, forum, Zello, etc.

  • Learn the basics, ask questions, and get used to how things work here.

  • “Test the water” and see if this path truly fits you.

This stage is not meant to be forever. It is mainly for getting used to the culture and preparing yourself. When you feel ready, the real step is to get ordained.

By ordaining, you become a Taoist disciple of Saam Law Taoism. This means:

  • You have chosen this religion as your path.

  • You accept having one and only one religious path here.

  • You enter the Saam Law Stage, and the Tao here officially takes you in.

At this stage, you are no longer just “learning from outside.” You become a family member in the Tao, and the system here is allowed to:

  • Protect you

  • Guide your life

  • Give you help, directions, and empowerments

You can:

  • Get initiated first and ordain later, or

  • Go straight to ordain (which already includes initiation)

But the true goal is to be ordained.

Why should you ordain?

Ordaining is not just about learning more content. Learning is only a part of it.
Ordaining means:

  • You want to rely on this source for your life

  • You are taking refuge in this Tao

  • You allow the Tao to guide you to a better way of living

  • You are willing to change and grow into a better version of yourself

Being a Taoist is like having a second chance at life. You are spiritually “born again” into a new system that can shape your future in a different way.

There is also the matter of afterlife.

By ordaining and being a good Taoist, you do not need to fear death in the same way anymore. After you die:

  • You will be taken care of by the Tao

  • You will have a chance to move to the “Taoist heaven” — Daai Law Tin (DLT)

  • You will not become a wandering ghost

  • You can escape the suffering and confusion that many souls face after death

You will have a place to go, and a system to receive you.

Remember, this is not just signing up for a hobby or a short-term course.
Ordaining is a lifetime commitment and relationship. It is closer to getting married than enrolling in a class.

We take this very seriously, and you should too.
