Progress: Lesson 2 / 12
Ghosts are not like what you see in movies. Those movie ghosts are fake. Real ghosts exist, but they don’t look or act like the Hollywood version at all.
There are two main kinds of ghosts:
It sounds complicated only because most people don’t know what a ghost really is. Let’s break it down.
A ghost is the negative soul, also called Yum Wun 陰魂. This is part of your soul system, and it is mainly used for mental work. Whenever you think, ponder, imagine, or process something mentally, this soul is the one doing the job.
In other words, when you think of someone, you are already creating a ghost. Your negative soul goes out to seek contact with the person you are thinking about.
The scary part is this: When someone else is thinking about you, you might suddenly “see” or “sense” their ghost without recognizing what it is.
Have you ever been doing something normal — washing dishes, mopping the floor, doing homework — and suddenly a random person pops into your mind and you cannot stop thinking about them?
That’s their ghost reaching you.
If a husband thinks of his wife who is away on a business trip, his ghost goes with care and love. That is not harmful.
But if an enemy thinks of you with hate, anger, or curses, that creates an evil ghost. This ghost carries bad intention, and that is the kind of ghost we are dealing with here.
When people say they saw their relative’s ghost, I must tell you the truth:
99.9% of these are impersonators.
They are not real ghosts of the dead. They are other spiritual beings using the “data” stored in your mind to trick you. It is always a setup.
Never believe these impersonators, and never negotiate with any ghost — whether it is a spiritual entity or just someone thinking about you.
Ghosts have a negative nature that cools off your positive soul’s warmth. This weakens your chi and slowly drains you day by day.
Even if they are not strong enough to “attack,” their presence still damages you over time. It is not good to have ghosts around, especially when they are not here to help.
Some ghosts are not created by humans’ thoughts but are the actual remaining souls of the dead. These ghosts do not see anything in this world. They live in their own dimension and cannot perceive the physical world like we do.
If you ever see a ghost that is truly “local” to our dimension, they appear as a dark shadow, usually moving slowly or barely at all.
Fun fact: In their world, our living space is like a giant water zone, like an ocean. So ghosts float — they don’t “walk” or move fast like humans.
Strong signs include:
Ghosts cannot do much physically. When humans make a loud sound, that sound becomes a strong wind in their world. So a good shout already pushes them away.
However, when a ghost haunts you for a long time, it drains your luck, your chi, and your energy very fast — and that is where the real danger is.
