Progress: Lesson 1 / 12
Whatever is good for you is not evil.
Anything that is bad for you is considered evil. Simple.
In TCM (traditional Chinese medicine), they also use the same word to describe chi that is bad for you or “wrong” for you at that time. In our Taoist magick, we go one step further and deeper.
Anything that goes against you is EVIL 邪 (Cheh). Whatever is not aligned with you is evil. In our lineage, we also call evils “E” or “E-crap,” and we deal with E-crap all the time. Evils are bad for you, so we must exorcise them and protect ourselves and our loved ones from them.
Evil is not just an idea or a story. It is something very real. To be able to “see” evils, you need to learn about them and grow the eyes of wisdom to see them.
Many people are confused and argue that there must be good and evil together to “balance” the world, so evil is “not really bad.” This is not true. We cannot and do not need to eliminate all evils in this world, but we must know that any evil that comes into our life has to be killed or removed, because it is bad for us and we don’t want it around.
It is like mosquitos. They are bad because they sting us and suck our blood. They can exist somewhere else in the world, but when we see them in our home, they have to go away or die.
There are criminals in this world, and you cannot kill all of them, because more will be born anyway. But that does not mean you should allow criminals to enter your home and do whatever they want. They can exist “out there,” but you must know not to let them in.
Evil is the same idea.
If you compare this to modern science, people talk about germs and viruses. You cannot see them with your eyes either. Someone in the room has COVID, and just by breathing, the virus can spread to someone else in the same room.
Evil crap is very similar. You can’t see it, but it is there and it can harm you. If you are ignorant and touch everything with your hands, then use that same hand to pick up chips and fries to eat, you might get sick – and then ask, “Why?” What makes you think E-crap doesn’t work in a similar way?
You cannot see “the evil” itself, but you can learn to see the signs and symptoms that show it is around.
A person who carries E-crap on them will often:
By knowing about these different kinds of evils, you can learn to spot them before they get to you. This is the first step in protecting yourself and the people around you.
