Wow! You have ordained and came in as a Saam Law Stage disciple and Taoist! What does it mean? Well, that means you have not only became a member of this big family here (the sect) but also established your relationship with the gods above us!
Ordain = Take Refuge
When we ordain, it means to take refuge under the Tao - like saying to the Tao "Please help me! I want to be under you!" We have done the ceremony to help you make it happen, and so the gods have accepted you 50% now, but the other 50% has to be done by YOURSELF. It's not a ceremony or any ritual that you lack, it's the true heart that is needed from you.
Many people ordain and thought its just about going through a ritual, but in reality it is not just that. You can compare to marriage, is it just about going through a ceremony and signing a piece of paper, or is it about building that loving relationship with your spouse? A marriage without love is not a marriage, it's more like a contract, and it will break for sure. When you ordain, you want to make sure that it is a REAL, and not just about "paying for a contract".
What is the Tao
You are a TAOIST, so what is the Tao? In short, the Tao is ANYTHING between you and our ultimate goal as a Taoist, which is reaching our destination in the far end, Daai Law Tin, the "Taoist heaven" and it is also where our source is, where we got all this Saam Law Tao stuff from. Another word, the Tao includes your master, the people in the sect, the sect itself, the gods and divines, the powers above us, and everything else.
Being ordained means you want to rely on the Tao, and not yourself anymore. It's like a child relying on their parent, the child will not try to self-help or "figure it out on their own". When they have problems, they bring it up, ask for help! Same to you here. If you have anything in life, bring it up on LINE and let the Tao help you out. The Tao is your home, your source, and what you can rely on.
Cultivating the Tao
A Taoist must cultivate the Tao everyday, so you start to build this relationship with the Tao, get to know the people, things, and even gods above. Everyday you know more about them, interact with them and go through your life with them, making you feel closer and closer with them as a family, and that's how you "cultivate the Tao".
Being a background learner doesn't make you better, reading at the back doesn't help, and you cannot learn anything just being an observer. It's not just about LEARNING too, it's about building that relationship, and you cannot be shy and hide in the background if you want this to work out.
Take a step forward, and start by first coming onto LINE everyday, talk a bit everyday, join the nets on Zello and eventually everything clicks in for you.
