Progress: Lesson 10 / 10 – Completed

Virtue and Affinity

The Tao-Virtue 道德 (Doe Duck) is the way we give back to the Tao. By giving back, we extend our affinity with the Tao, keep the flow alive, and maintain a healthy relationship. We receive from the Tao every day — protection, guidance, blessings — so we must also return something.

No one likes a leech that only takes and never gives. The Tao is the same. A one-way relationship will eventually break.

That’s why our sect emphasizes virtue building so strongly.
Without virtue, there is no relationship, and without the relationship, the path will eventually fall apart.

Virtue can be built in many ways:

  • contributing time

  • putting in effort

  • offering resources

  • giving feedback

  • showing improvement

  • demonstrating what you learned

  • asking questions and participating

  • helping others in the group

For example, during our Zello net, if everyone speaks for 2 minutes and you only talk for 10 seconds before passing the mic, that shows imbalance. You are taking a lot but giving back very little. That is not how a healthy connection works.

When you learn something, you should give back with action — show what you learned, ask questions, demonstrate progress. Even sharing your updates is a form of virtue. You are giving your heart and effort back to the Tao and to the lineage.

People often think virtue equals money, but that is a misunderstanding.
Money can be a form of contribution, but the nature of virtue is not money — it is the heart.

What the Tao wants from you is:

  • your faith

  • your passion

  • your sincerity

  • your devotion

Money without heart means nothing.
Heart with sincere effort means everything.

Your affinity with the Tao begins here.
If you are ready to ordain, you can continue to the ordain page and take the next step. Entering the Tao is not hard — keeping the affinity strong is the real task.

Once you choose this path, keep your heart focused.
Do not let evils, doubts, or outside influences knock you away.
Build virtue, keep giving back, and your bond with the Tao will grow stronger every day.

Now that you have completed all 10 lessons,
if you feel ready, step forward and take the Pre-Ordain Quiz.
