Heart Spell Cultivation
The 108 Heart Spell Cultivation is one of the special practices we all do to cultivate the heart. It is also a way to show your faith and determination to the Tao.
You can think of this as a “newbie test.” If someone cannot finish this cultivation, how can they say they truly have faith and determination? This practice shows the Tao that you are serious, sincere, and here to stay.
You will do this cultivation once every day.
Pick one Heart Spell and work on it for 108 days. After finishing, move on to the next one. Do not rush. Do not stack too much into one day.
This is not about making things hard. It is about being steady, consistent, and honest with yourself.
Find a quiet place. Sit down and calm yourself.
Using a chain of 108 beads, start reciting the Heart Spell. One bead equals one recitation. When you reach the large bead again, you have completed 108.
Focus on your heart while reciting. This is heart cultivation, not speed reading.
After finishing your daily 108 recitations, you must report on LINE.
Example report:
401, HS0 1/108
Tomorrow becomes 2/108, then 3/108, and so on.
Reporting is part of the cultivation. It keeps you disciplined, and it keeps the lineage updated.
If you miss a day, others can see it and help you get back on track. This is family support, not punishment.
This is not to punish you. It is to train your heart to be strong, steady, and responsible.
Every senior in the lineage has gone through this. Many have restarted again and again along the way.
This cultivation tests your faith and determination, but it also strengthens your heart each time you refuse to give up.
The benefits go far beyond memorizing a spell. As you mature in the lineage, you will slowly understand what this practice is really doing to you.
Keep going. Do not quit. Your heart will grow stronger than you expect.
