Basic Doctrines – Five Virtues & Ten Commandments
一心奉道,非禮勿視
Ya Sim Fong Doe, Fi Li Wu Cia
Heart focused to the Tao. See no evils.
Wholeheartedly serve the Tao. If something is unfit for the Tao to see, then you should not look at it yourself. Protect your heart by avoiding what drags it away from the Tao.
非禮勿聽,諸惡莫作,信受奉行
Fi Li Wu Tieng, Ju Ngoc Mog Jog, Sin Xiou Fong Hong
Hear no evils. Do no evils. Believe, accept, and apply the teachings.
If something is unfit for the Tao to hear, do not listen to it. Refrain from actions that are not aligned with the Tao. Believe sincerely, accept the teachings, and practice them in real life.
These lines are part of the Five Virtues in Saam Law Taoism. They are not strict rules, and the Tao is not a watchful force waiting to punish mistakes.
You grow into them as you mature in the lineage. The more you cultivate, the deeper the meaning becomes.
For new disciples, it is normal to misunderstand or make mistakes. Do not fear judgment. These teachings help you shape your heart to align with the Tao. It is about nurturing a real relationship — built on trust, understanding, and sincerity.
You impress the Tao through your sincerity, not by being perfect. As you walk this path, the Tao responds and bonds with you.
Let these virtues guide you like light posts along your journey. The Tao embraces growth, progress, and real effort — not rigid perfection.
Saam Law – Ten Commandments
These commandments express the core values of Saam Law Taoism — loyalty, virtue, bravery, respect, and devotion. They guide how you walk the path and how you connect with the Tao.
By living these commandments, your bond with the Tao becomes stronger. These teachings shape your heart, your character, and your destiny as a disciple.
